Portrait of Mrs. Zamprogno Dal Din
Position in the museum
GROUND FLOOR Room 1
Among the works from his youth, "Self-Portrait with Hat and Pipe" features dynamic brushstrokes that effectively capture distinctive details of the subject, such as the brim of the hat, the cravat, and the pipe smoke. The painting was created in 1903 and is part of the bequest from Countess Sofia Felissent Moresco, who shared a deep bond of friendship and mutual respect with the artist. In 1944, the collection of Apollonio’s works in her possession became part of the Municipal Art Gallery of Treviso through her will.
